This practice saved me professionally. I came in to see Dr. Wong with my front tooth literally hanging in my mouth. And I had a conference that I needed to present at that weekend. Luckily, Dr. Wong was able to fix the tooth temporarily and I was able to present. And then I came back and it’s been a wonderful experience getting the front tooth permanently replaced. Before I came to Dr. Wong, I saw several other dentists who put me off because they said they couldn’t replace the tooth within a month and I needed it within a couple of days. And Dr. Wong took on the challenge. Dr. Wong and his entire team are just wonderful. At no point was I in a lot of pain. I felt totally cared for and I will be with them the rest of my dental life. Dr. Wong is the consummate professional. He is up on all the latest technologies. But most important, he explains everything to you. I was never left feeling I didn’t know what was going on, that my mouth was propped open, and I didn’t know what he was doing. I always knew. And he always asked about my pain level. He was very sensitive to that and if I needed any kind of anesthetic or not. At Dr. Wong’s practice, every single person knows you by name, they are professional in their fields, and they’re very flexible. I have a busy work schedule and they’ve always fit me in when I can come. Well you can tell by my age, I’ve seen quite a few dentists in my life. This by far has been the best dental practice I’ve ever been at and I would recommend Dr. Wong to anybody, call me up, I’ll talk to you personally. If you’re new to the area, I would definitely say don’t shop around, come directly to Dr. Wong’s practice. You will not be disappointed, you will be taken care of, and I recommend them highly.

So I’ve been coming here for a little over 20 years, and it’s been very consistent, great care. If I ever have a problem, even after hours, I know that I can get a hold of them, and they’re willing to help me and take care of my teeth. I’ve had an infection where I needed antibiotics. He’s willing to call it in, make sure I get comfortable until he can see me, if that ever happens. I love coming here also because he does orthodontics and dental work, so I was able to fit those both in with both of my daughters. It was just helpful to be able to come to one place to do both of those things, and they enjoyed coming here. He’s always joking around with the kids and making them feel comfortable, and that was, you know, I watched him grow with coming here over the years, so it’s been really nice. His quality of care is excellent. I feel he’s really good at the shots, which is always the most nerve-wracking part of going to the dentist. It puts me at ease right from the beginning, and then I’m able to get through it, because, you know, dental procedures are always difficult to look forward to.

I really like coming here because it makes me feel comfortable. Everybody here knows each other. I’ve known them for a while. I’ve known…a lot of these people have been here, you know, forever. I’ve been here for at least 20 years and now that I moved out of town I still come here. So it’s just great. I love it. So the office really listens to people. They make you want to come back because they make you feel comfortable. If you tell them about anything of your, you know, pain anywhere in your mouth or your teeth or whatever, they address that. They try to make you as comfortable as possible, as painless as possible, and yeah, they just make you feel comfortable. Dr. Wong’s great. I’m surprised he doesn’t reprimand me more. He’s patient, tells me what I need to do. He tells exactly what he’s going to be doing to me. Takes the time to explain it and tells me how it’s going to feel. So if I do feel pain to let him know and yeah, he’s great. I was one of those people who was afraid of dentists, didn’t want to come to a dentist, was afraid to even look for one because nobody listened to you. I basically tell everybody when I first came here, number one, the doctor did listen to you. He listened to everything that you needed. The fact that he was going to explain what was going to happen, what was going to be painful or not, what he could do to help alleviate that pain. Half the problem is finding a good dentist who’s going to listen to you. Dr. Wong does. He listens to everything. There’s really not one specific thing here in this office because everything’s great. From the people to the procedure to the doctor, I mean everybody is just fantastic to work with. There’s no complaints.

The big reason I love coming to this practice is it’s a family dentistry. So we moved to San Ramon eight years ago and, you know, my child was in elementary and we’re, like, “Okay, we’re all having healthy teeth, but we need something that everybody can come in and, you know, kind of serve on.” And so this was a referral, and we immediately loved Dr. Wong. All of the assistants are so…they’re so caring and they’re loving. And we’ve referred so many of our neighbors here. So one of the things that makes this practice set apart is they’re always giving you options when they’re telling you what treatments you could be in for.

They’re giving you time to think about it, they’re going over your insurance, you know, obviously checking all the boxes. However, they will really, you know, work with you, like if you…you know, you’re going on a vacation and you’re just, like, “Okay, this might not work out. Let’s plan this out for you.” That personal attention I think that that’s when you know they’re taking care of you. Like, they are participating in your lifestyle to make sure that your treatments are going to work for you. And I think that’s it, yeah.

The quality of care at Valley Dental has been consistent. I’ve had so many…and I did not know I was in for so many treatments. I always thought I had…”Okay, I have a good smile, and I have good teeth.” And, you know, Dr. Wong has really helped me understand, like, you know, I have had so many…I have had TMJ problems, I have had cavities, I have had crowns, I have had extractions. Through all of that in the last eight years, I keep coming back, and I’ve referred so many people. And, you know, my teenage daughter went through, like, the whole braces thing, my husband is going through braces. We’re all in for the long haul, but we love it. Consistent.

I love coming to Dr. Wong’s practice for their professionalism, how kind and friendly everyone is. Dr. Wong is really gentle, which was a big one for me. Their professionalism is also awesome, being a professional person, being able to be on time and not have to wait. So cleanliness is another thing. Their office is extremely clean. Their overall awesomeness in every aspect of their business, you can tell that they really love and care about their patients and the practice that they do. Dr. Wong’s chair-side manner is great. He’s super funny and personable. He explains everything very thoroughly and very well to you. The quality of care that Dr. Wong and I get whenever I come to see him is, I would say, top tier, excellent. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Wong and his team. For people that are trying to find a dental home, I would recommend this to anyone in the Bay Area. Definitely worth any kind of drive that you would have to do. Wouldn’t shy away at all. Dental hygiene is extremely important, and Dr. Wong and his team are absolutely the best at it. So his team is just that great, and so is Dr. Wong too.

When I came to Dr. Wong, I had a severe front tooth problem. It was literally, just hanging in my mouth. In fact, I used those white strips to keep it adhered to the tooth next to it. Unfortunately, I was going to be at a conference and presenting in just a couple of days, and I knew I couldn’t have the tooth fall out while I was presenting. Dr. Wong was able to adhere the tooth for that weekend, and then the next week we went seriously into the dental implant program. He gave me all of my options. We chose the best one, and within a few days, I was able to have the tooth implanted in my mouth, and now I’m getting the permanent tooth implanted. At Valley Dental, you are treated as a human being, an individual with individual needs, pain levels, and desires for outcomes. I needed to weigh the cost versus what I needed to get done in my mouth, and they were very sensitive to that coming up with a good solution for me. If you’ve been through dental implants, you know that it’s not a pleasant experience. However, I can truly say my dental visits here never took too long. I was never in pain. My pain was managed quite well, and I was left with the result I wanted with the tooth in my mouth.

Well, you know, your kids are the most important part of your family. Knowing that they could come in, they were explained to them what was gonna…the process of the orthodontics, the spacers first, and then, you know, everything going forward, which is hard to picture, so that they were able to explain it to them and make them feel more at ease is very important to me.

And so I was lucky that we were able to find them and they were able to help us with that. Braces is a long process. It’s not overnight. It’s stretched out. You have to come back a lot and they were able to work with your schedule. They really helped us out. Anytime we needed some help, they would…you know, they were there, “Oh, you have problems getting them in here? Okay, we’ll just reschedule it for you.” And I think that’s important because it’s a business, you know, they have to work around their schedule, too. It’s nice that they made us feel comfortable with that.

Well, because I hadn’t been to the dentist for a while, I had neglected them. And so I needed some work on my teeth. And it was, like I said, very hard to find a dentist. So when I was living here about 30 years ago, I just lived around the corner. And I thought, okay, well, this is pretty convenient. It’s very close by. I can walk to the dentist. And it was, you know, it was just very, very close and convenient. My work had insurance that covered it and they took my insurance. So I decided to try it here first. So I came here and that’s it. I’ve been coming here ever since. Well, getting the implants, I really had no idea what was involved. So the doctor went through and told me specifically what was going to happen from, you know, just going in there, checking it out, what they had to do with the tooth, either taking it out or sending it down. Told me what they were going to do to mold it and place it in there. I mean, I just had the whole procedure sent to me, you know, talk, discuss with me. Well, I’ve always recommended Dr. Wong to everybody I talk to not only while I was living here, the people in town, but also people that are in the surrounding areas. I just talked to somebody the other day who actually lives in Concord, which is what, 20 miles away or so. I moved to the Central Valley and I have been coming here, like I said, ever since. And I’ve moved there for about…been there for about six, seven years now.

Coming to Valley Dental and Orthodontics, when I first moved eight years ago, and I was looking for, you know, a dentist practice, and I came in here and it’s like, okay, probably just like cleaning, right? Like, yeah, as usual, I have no problems. I had no idea that I have been grinding my teeth for 10 years. So much so that if Dr. Wong had not suggested the treatment that I’m doing right now, and I am…I’m not old, I’m in my mid-40s, I would be probably losing all of my teeth in the next five years. He came in and told me, okay, we can, you know, rescue whatever is left behind. So I had no idea that for the past so many years, I used to get like a cranking pain down my neck, and I was like, why is that happening? And it would just come in and go, especially when I’m sleeping. And so he asked me about that and I was like, yeah, how do you know? He’s like, well, you know, that is because you have nothing, you know, in your lower jaw left, and so you’re pressing down the nerve a whole bunch. Since he’s been treating me, which is now I’ve had this for, I would say, eight months, I have had no pain. Like, that pain has gone. And I am just…it was a very uncomfortable feeling besides being painful. That has been gone, which is a big deal. So the decisions you make in your life doesn’t have to be because somebody did so and you do the same. It’s because of what works for you. And when the dentist can help you make that decision, it’s still like, hey, it doesn’t matter how old or young you are, you can still do this and, you know, take a second opinion if you want. So my recommendation is, you know, try them out. You’re going to be very happy with their services.

Some of the issues that led into me getting the crowns was, like, teeth grinding in the evenings due to, like, stress, anxiety. So that’s when I ended up with actually my…ended up having many fractures in my teeth. And that’s what led to my crowns having to be put on. Yeah, the service on the crowns and Dr. Wong and his team’s approach, again, very professional as always. Very extremely thorough. That’s one of the other things I love about Dr. Wong and his team is how thorough they are. And that presence around the chair really comes and shines through as Dr. Wong takes care of you.

Yeah, when it comes to recommendations about crowns, like, they are amazing at it. They’re some of the best in the area, and it definitely shines through in their crown work. When visiting an endodontist as part of the crown thing, you know, even the endodontist themselves complimented Dr. Wong’s staff on just even the temporary and what they put together for that. So I would recommend anybody and everybody to come see Dr. Wong and his team for their crown work.

I have a really hard time getting numb and he’s done several for me and tried his best to get me numb and it just doesn’t work. So I told him forget it, no more root canals for me, I only want implants. And I was terrified, I was terrified to get my tooth pulled. I wanted to be put out and I felt so comfortable with him doing it. He said, okay, let’s do all these things, you know, get you as numb as we can. If you need music on, we’ll get you music. Before I knew it, my tooth was out and he pulled my blood to infuse it with the cement and it was really the most comfortable thing. I was really surprised. It was way easier than a root canal. So I was really happy. Yeah, I feel like if anybody needs an implant, Dr. Wong is excellent. I feel so comfortable with him. From beginning to end, from the shots to the service to explaining it, he’s so good at what he does. Again, it’s scary to get anything done in your mouth. And so it’s scarier than giving a public speech. So it’s nice feeling that, like, okay, I’m not as scared because I know he’s going to take good care of me.

I’ve been neglecting my teeth for a while now, so when I first came here, took the x-rays, doctor told me what was needed. We could do it increments at a time, so it wasn’t just all get it done and have your mouth incapacitated forever. My teeth were very badly neglected, sorry to say, and so the doctor really helped me put everything in place with crowns, with pulling teeth that had to be pulled, either reconstructing it or putting in implants. A bridge, I had to have a bridge, I mean there’s all these things, but little by little we were able to do it. Financing was perfect. The procedures were great. I didn’t have to worry about being in pain because it all sounded really painful when he was telling me everything that needed to be done. But yeah, I mean that’s my experience with the dentist. It’s been great. Well yeah, having the crowns and the bridges and everything put in my mouth, it’s been a lot better because of course, I needed the work. I didn’t really think that they would last as long as they did, or I thought they’d have to be replaced all the time. But whatever it is that he does, it’s just like in there permanently. I’ve never had really an issue with them cracking or breaking or bending. Everything is just so strongly and firmly put in there. It just seems like my regular teeth now. And yeah, it just feels like normal.

A bunch of physical activity all the time and just, you know, the stresses and pains of working out and having an active lifestyle just showing through where I was getting a lot of grinding in the evenings while I was sleeping. So it drove me to get a night guard with Dr. Wong and the team. Whenever I’ve started using the night guard, seeing my jaw and the muscles and everything being not as tense the next day and my teeth don’t hurt the next day, which is great. And, you know, hopefully, no longer need to do any other additional crown work done due to grinding. So super excited in that. The night guard’s super easy to use. It’s just a little bit thicker than a regular Invisalign. So if you’re ever used to using an Invisalign, it’s just a little bit bigger than that and very easy to use. And definitely would recommend getting one for anybody.
